The Kanha national park safari is a great adventure for wildlife lovers and enthusiast. Kanha Tiger reserve is located in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is currently the largest national park in Madhya Pradesh and it approximately encompasses an area of around 1000 Square KMs in total. It is officially the first Tiger reserve in India which introduced Barasingha (Swamp deer). It was declared the forest reserve in 1879 and, approximately 70 years after in 1955 it was considered as a national park.

It also has around more than 300 species of bird including migratory birds and is a famous place for reptiles including Python, Russell’s viper, Monitor lizard, Garden lizard etc.

Closing months – Just like Bandhavgarh or any other Tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh, Kanha national park also remains close during rainy season from 1st July to 14th October.
The best time to visit is from November to May. Forest department conducts Kanha jeep safari booking twice a day (Early morning) and (Afternoon to Evening).
During summer time morning safaris are started at 06:00 to 6:15 AM for approx 3 hours and afternoon safaris are started at 2:30 to 3:00 PM for approx 3 hours.
During winter time morning safaris are started at 06:30 to 6:45 AM for approx 3 hours and afternoon safaris are started at 1:30 to 2:00 PM for approx 3 hours.
